FSC orders an A320 simulator with MPS
Groenekan, The Netherlands, January 23rd, 2017
FSC placed an order for a second FTD and has entered into a definitive agreement with MPS for the delivery of an AIRBUS A320 FTD Fixed Base Simulator. Part of the agreement is an option to convert the simulator into an AIRBUS A320 NEO configuration in due time.
The device will be equipped with a 200 x 40 FOV Collimated Visual System and delivered in March of this year, to be installed in FSC’s premises which is conveniently situated at one of the world’s best connected main airports: Amsterdam Airport.
In addition to the acquisition of the simulator, FSC and MPS will continue to cooperate in the development and implementation of smart training solutions, which can ultimately become available to other MPS users.
FSC’s Managing Director Perry Roolvink “To further enhance the total value offering to our customers this follow up order for an FTD from MPS for the AIRBUS A320 is in line with the introduction at FSC of high end Fixed Base Simulator equipment to be operated in combination with our fleet of Full Motion Simulators. MPS sets new standards for quality and fidelity with their FTD’s and our AIRBUS A320 FTD will be used in combination with our fleet of AIRBUS A320 Full Motion Simulators resulting in a great value offering to our airline customers, all according to the high quality and safety standards of FSC.”
MPS’ President and founder Dick Verburg: “We are looking forward to expand our partnership with a highly regarded training center like FSC. With this additional order from FSC, we will have both our B737 and A320 FTD’s installed at FSC’s training facilities at Amsterdam Schiphol. This enables us to clearly show the tremendous added value in training of offering an advanced Fixed Base Simulator from MPS in addition to the existing full motion simulators.”
