MPS to incorporate ASTi Interface into its FTDs
MPS to incorporate ASTi Interface into its FTD’s
April 20, 2016
Multi Pilot Simulations (MPS) of the Netherlands entered into agreement with Advanced Simulation Technology inc. (ASTi) to develop an interface to the ASTi Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA) for all of its A320 and B737 fixed base simulators. MPS FTD’s will operate seamlessly with SERA, providing a comprehensive communications environment and high-fidelity aural cue sound model.
ASTi’s SERA system provides accurate, real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) using unique, realistic "human" voices to teach students proper terminology and interaction with synthetic controllers. Updates to the SERA control interface allow students to select and run predefined training scenarios through intuitive, web-based control pages. As a result, instructors no longer need to role-play air traffic control calls, and can concentrate on the training focus throughout each simulator session.
MPS builds simulators, which are exact replicas of the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 flight deck. The simulators are based on the needs of flight training organizations and airlines for affordable, high quality devices that are specific for certain classes of jets. MPS delivers its products and services to Authorized and Type Rating Training Organizations, and major airline’s in-house training organizations. MPS has a global installed based of its JAA/ EASA and FAA certified simulators.
ASTi is the leading supplier of communications, automated ATC, and sound systems to the training and simulation industry. ASTi meets FAA, EASA and equivalent Level D qualifications with simulators around the world. Since 1989, ASTi has fielded over 8,400 systems at more than 800 installation sites in the U.S. and 47 other countries.
