About ALTA

The Latin America and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is a non-profit organization with a focus on air transport and all relevant and related topics in the region. The Pilot Training Committee is specifically focused on professional flight training. Below you can find an excerpt from ALTA’s website:

Established in September 2022, the Pilot Training Committee is composed of 73% of ALTA member airlines and aims to be the regional forum of discussion about the main challenges in pilot training and to work in solutions and initiatives to develop the right competencies that are required to conduct airline operations safely and efficiently, with focus on the well-being of the crews. ALTA’s Pilot Training Connect is intended to be an educational and networking event that gathers airlines, regulators, ATO’s and industry, to present the latest trends in pilot training, share experiences and discuss challenges, to build relationships and create initiatives to enhance the way we train, and we think about training.

Pilot Training Connect Schedule

The event will start on Tuesday with a working lunch between local authorities and the ALTA pilot training committee. This will be followed by a tour of Copa Airlines’ training center which will soon include an MPS B737 MAX FTD.
