Aeromexico Contracts MPS For B737 MAX FTD

by | Jan 10, 2022 | News

MPS has been awarded a contract by Grupo Aeromexico (Aeromexico) for a B737 MAX FTD FAA level 5 with collimated visual. The simulator is expected to be installed mid-2022 in Aeromexico’s training center located in Mexico City.

Founded in 1934, Aeromexico is the leader in Mexican aviation with an extensive network domestically and internationally. The airline prides itself on service, safety, and sustainability making MPS a perfect fit for its simulator needs.

MPS customers benefit from the highest fidelity possible as its smarter simulators use original aircraft parts. Since MPS devices are fixed base, energy use is also dramatically lower compared to a full flight simulator. This common stance on improving safety whilst at the same time reducing environmental footprint aligns the two organizations.

Philip Adrian, MPS Chief Executive Officer, said: “MPS is proud to partner with Aeromexico to provide high quality type specific training for the B737 MAX to its pilots to ensure optimal safety in the skies. We are also thrilled to support a specific goal of sustainability within the airline and know this FTD will serve towards reaching that goal by capping energy use and allowing pilots to train on site at Aeromexico’s training center.”

The MPS MAX FTD will be used by Aeromexico to keep its pilots up to date on all training related to the MAX.

Max Alvarez, Aeromexico’s Senior Vice President Fleet and New Businesses, said: “For Mexico’s global airline, safety is a priority, and we have centered on having state-of-the-art equipment to offer our pilots the best training to thrive. Hence, Aeromexico has focused on pairing with leading experts and simulator manufacturers such as MPS, enabling us to reiterate this major commitment with our crew and customers guaranteeing the highest safety standards.”
